📰 Turning Point USA Plans Its Own “All-American” Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2026

Turning Point USA, the conservative organization founded by the late political activist Charlie Kirk, has announced plans to host its own Super Bowl halftime counter-show in 2026.
The group shared a flyer on social media revealing that the event — called “The All-American Halftime Show” — will celebrate “faith, family, and freedom.” The alternative show is scheduled for February 8, 2026, the same day as the NFL’s Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California.
Following Charlie Kirk’s passing last month, his wife Erika Kirk took over as CEO of Turning Point USA. She confirmed that details about the venue and the lineup of musical performers will be announced soon.
According to the official event website, visitors can submit their preferred music genres. The survey options include Americana, Classic Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Pop, and Worship, suggesting a diverse lineup with a patriotic theme.
The announcement came shortly after the NFL named global superstar Bad Bunny as its 2026 halftime performer — a choice that has sparked mixed reactions across the United States.
While millions of fans praised the Puerto Rican artist’s global influence, others — including former President Donald Trump — criticized the decision. “I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it — it’s crazy,” Trump said earlier this week.
Bad Bunny, who primarily performs in Spanish, has been vocal about his opposition to the Trump administration’s immigration policies. Reports indicate that his recent world tour avoided U.S. stops out of concern over possible ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raids.
A Trump administration official later stated that ICE agents would maintain a visible presence at the 2026 Super Bowl, emphasizing a “no safe haven” policy for undocumented immigrants.
Super Bowl counter-events are not new. Networks such as Animal Planet have long aired the Puppy Bowl, and other platforms have experimented with creative alternatives like the Kitten Bowl or Fish Bowl. However, Turning Point USA’s live event marks one of the first large-scale political or cultural halftime alternatives ever attempted.
Whether “The All-American Halftime Show” will compete with the NFL’s massive global audience remains to be seen — but one thing is clear: Charlie Kirk’s legacy continues to spark conversations well beyond politics.
